Pricing and engagement model
The price is agreed in writing.
Then it doesn't move.
No hourly meters, no surprise invoices, no subscription for your own software. Here is exactly how a BIZMYZE engagement works, what it costs, and what you own at the end.
01 Ranges
Typical project ranges.
Honest numbers beat "contact us".
Every build is quoted individually, but most BIZMYZE projects fall into one of three bands.
One workflow
Starter Module
Under $3k
One workflow done properly: booking, invoicing, or a simple CRM. The right first step if you want to test how we work before committing to a full system.
Most popular
Full System
$3k to $10k
Your whole operation in one place: clients, bookings, billing, chats, dashboards, etc. Replaces 3-6 subscriptions. This is what most clients need.
Whole operation
Business OS
From $10k
The full command center plus cross-department automations, integrations with anything you keep, and reporting. Scoped module by module so the total stays predictable.
What moves the price within a band: number of tools being replaced, data migration complexity, how many user roles you need, and integrations with anything you're keeping (payment processors, accounting, etc.). All of it is itemized in the written quote, so you see exactly what each module costs before deciding.
What "you own the code" actually includes
- The full source code repository, transferred to an account you control, not a license to use our code.
- Your data in your database, hosted on infrastructure in your name, exportable at any time.
- Documentation: setup, architecture, and admin docs written so any competent developer can maintain the system without us.
- Deployment access: the hosting account, domain, and credentials are yours from day one.
- Full IP assignment in the contract: not "perpetual license," ownership. This is written into every agreement.
What it doesn't include: third-party costs stay third-party: hosting (typically a few dollars a month, paid by you directly, no markup), a domain name, and any external services you choose to keep (e.g., a payment processor's transaction fees). We name these in the quote so there are zero surprise line items.
02 After launch
The software is yours either way.
Support is optional.
Choose it because it's convenient, not because you're trapped.
Self-managed
- Full docs and handover session
- 30 days of post-launch bug fixes included
- Any developer can take over
Care Plan
- Updates, monitoring and backups checked
- Bug fixes with next-business-day response
- Small tweaks included monthly
- Cancel anytime, you keep everything
Growth Partner
- Everything in Care Plan
- New features built monthly
- Priority same-day response
- Quarterly systems review
03 Risk
Risk mitigation,
in plain words.
- Fixed quote: scope surprises are our cost, not yours. The price changes only if you change the scope, in writing, both ways.
- Milestone payments: you pay in stages and see a working prototype at the first milestone. If it isn't what we specced, you don't pay for that milestone.
- Parallel run: your current tools stay live until the new system has proven itself in real operation. You cancel subscriptions last, not first.
- Exit plan: because you own the code, data, docs, and hosting, leaving us is a decision, not a project. No exit fees, no data ransom, ever.
When we'll tell you not to build
If you're running on fewer than three tools, spending under $100 a month on subscriptions, or your processes change completely every quarter, custom software probably isn't worth it yet, and we'll say so on the audit call. We'd rather lose a project than build you something you don't need.
04 Questions
Common questions
about cost and ownership.
How much does a custom business system cost?
Most BIZMYZE projects fall into three bands: a Starter Module under $3k delivered in 2-3 weeks, a Full System from $3k to $10k delivered in 6-10 weeks, and a Business OS from $10k, scoped module by module. Every build gets a fixed written quote before any work starts.
Are there monthly fees after launch?
There is no subscription for your own software. You pay third-party costs directly, such as hosting at a few dollars a month and your domain name, with no markup. Support plans are optional, and maintenance fees can apply on certain plans.
Do I own the code?
Yes. The full source code repository is transferred to an account you control, your data lives in a database hosted in your name, and full IP assignment is written into the contract. You also get documentation so any competent developer can maintain the system.
How long does a build take?
A Starter Module ships in 2-3 weeks and a Full System in 6-10 weeks. A Business OS is scoped together. You see a working prototype at the first milestone, and your current tools stay live until the new system has proven itself.
What if the project costs more than expected?
It cannot, unless you change the scope. The quote is fixed and the price moves only if the scope changes in writing, both ways. You pay in milestones, and if a milestone is not what was specced, you do not pay for it.
What happens if we stop working with BIZMYZE?
Nothing breaks. You own the code, data, documentation and hosting, so leaving is a decision, not a project. There are no exit fees and no data held back.
When is custom software not worth it?
If you run on fewer than three tools, spend under $100 a month on subscriptions, or your processes change completely every quarter, custom software probably is not worth it yet. BIZMYZE will say so on the free audit call.
